The Koori Art Trail is an initiative  of HM Prison Langi Kal Kal on behalf of the Department of Justice and Regulation and is supported by Pyrenees Shire Council.

The artwork by indigenous prisoners is provided to the Beaufort Community and visitors to celebrate the indigenous history of this country.

The traditional owners of the region are the Wadawurrung, Dja Dja Wurrung and the Djab Wurrung tribes.
